The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a great option if you're looking for a robot vacuum and mop that is priced in the middle. It provides a fantastic mopping experience, but it lacks the advanced features of its more expensive sibling.

During testing it was able to take on dry oats and dust on medium-pile carpet and pet hair on hard floors. It doesn't employ LIDAR, however, as other models do, to map your home.

1. Roomba S9+ from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba S9+ robot vacuum is one of the best-rated robots. It is a powerful cleaner and numerous features, including an automatic dirt bin built into its charging base. This robot can learn your habits for cleaning and suggest automated schedules to provide you with an effortless cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once the system is setup it can begin cleaning automatically with just one button. You can select the general clean option, which prioritizes the removal of larger pieces of debris like rice and cereal. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that your entire home is cleaned thoroughly.

This vacuum works well both on bare floors and carpets with a low pile. It can pick up pet hair and clean large items up. It doesn't lose its suction as fast as some other robot vacuums. It's a challenge with high-pile carpets or plush carpets however iRobot claims that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ features a new design from iRobot, which is focused on enhancing corner and edge cleaning. It's the first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it hug walls and furniture. It's a nice improvement over the traditional hockey puck shape of robovacs, but we found it to be only incrementally better than circular models.

iRobot claims that the S9+ also has an advanced filtration system, which prevents micro-sized particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice claim but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the high price cost.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember the layout of your home and vSLAM technology to map the interior. It can then clean your entire home with ease by avoiding obstacles like stairs and other obstacles. The iRobot Home App allows you to schedule cleaning times and create virtual boundaries so that the robot knows what areas require extra attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a machine that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as efficient as those found on higher-end models and its mopping feature is better still--its spinning pads do a more impressive job of scrubbing your floors than a stationary vibrating pad.

The only issue is that it doesn't have a second rubber brush for deeper cleaning, but that's an affordable cost to pay if are looking for one of the top robots on the market. The robo-vac's dust tank larger than many of its competitors and it takes only two or three cycles to fill it up, even at the highest dirt level.

In terms of the mopping system, I was impressed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has, which are less aggressive than the high-powered ones, create very little noise, which allows you to work or watch TV without interruption. It will gently bump into furniture or walls, and then move on whenever it comes across one.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost autonomously, with little user involvement. The robo-vac features a multi-function dock that automatically transfers physical trash into the bin hidden from view and washes and drys mop pads and replenishes its clean water tank. The app will only notify you if something is wrong for example, a low clean water tank or a canceled vacuuming session due to a full bin.

You can also create or combine actual rooms in order to customize the way that Q Revo handles your home. This feature is helpful for those who have different flooring in different areas of your home or if you need to regularly clear out clutter such as clothes, toys, and books. The robot vacuum was also among the best performers in my tests cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors with the first go. It can also remove wet spills but I would suggest wiping them dry with a cloth before sending the robot in.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd want from a premium robot vacuum and mop combo and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it has an excellent vacuum that has powerful suction that cleans hard and carpet floors, plus an omni-rotating mop that scrubs tough stains. It also comes with a self-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also has a new sensor system that is able to better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to prevent falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that this version is sleeker and more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it has a height of more than two feet both height and depth, and weighs in at least four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot J7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1, as it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a complete cleaning of about 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a bigger, more durable dustbin to hold more debris, making it easier to empty it when needed.

Lastly, the X2 Omni has a more user-friendly app and a voice assistant that works offline, which means you can use it even if you're not home. It also comes with a smart routing function that lets it clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead of following a predetermined route.

The X2 Omni is the most effective mopping performance of any robot we've tested because of its mop pads that rotate to scrub away tough stains and a motor that produces plenty of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is outstanding too and it enhances suction when it detects carpets to ensure that it does the job well. It is equipped with a large, rechargeable battery that can last up to one week. The mopping feature of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium model that comes with a variety of features that aren't often found on robots in this price range. It has the ability to create detailed floor maps, detect various flooring types, and it's one of the few that can automatically wash and dry the mop pads. These features are great, but they also place the L10s in the premium category. This could make it more expensive than homeowners need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaning machine. It is tall and slim and has a white-colored finish, accentuated by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features an enormous bumper that shields the vacuum cleaner and furniture while moving around your home. Sensors are hidden behind the front pane, which helps the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the screen, you'll find one button that acts as an on/off switch. The button will activate the vacuum. Clicking it again will turn it off and send it back to its base station. The control panel is the circular menu which lets you choose cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences.
